5 out of 5 stars Quality at Bargain Price   September 5, 2010
Mister Mash (Beavercreek, OH United States)
Chose this Audio Technica bargain-priced turnable to replace 30 year old table. Has all the basic features. Tracks accurately at correct speed, as far as I can tell. Have begun to buy a few of the new 180 gram vinyl and high definition LP's so wanted a new turntable to do them justice. Sound is great. Unlikely I will subject this new turntable to the punishment of playing any of my 30-40 year old LP's so I am not expecting some kind of re-birth of these via a new turntable. Regrettably those old LP's have all reached the "recorded by campfire" status by being loved to death. For the price I think this Audio Technica is super.

5 out of 5 stars Great Simplicity.   September 4, 2010

I wanted to buy a turntable because I wanted a new way to listen to music at home, and I found out that a lot of the music I listen to is available on vinyl. So I know absolutely nothing about turntables and records. So I browsed around for a cheap turntable, but most of the cheaps ones had gotten bad reviews. Then I found this here on amazon, one of the cheapest ones yet and somehow one of the best reviewed. So I knew it was the one.

All I really wanted was to be able t play records, and this thing is amazingly simple. The setup only consists of putting the platter on the turntable and then putting the belt on the motor. I know nothing about record players and had it full set up and connected in 30 seconds.

So if you just want a simple and cheap record player, this is probably your best option.

5 out of 5 stars Great   September 1, 2010

This is the first record player ive ever bought. My Grandma passed away and left me her record collection, which i had no way to listen to them. This device works very well; Its easy to assemble and very affordable. I am very pleased with this purchase.

3 out of 5 stars Cheap   August 31, 2010
K. Teare (Pella, IA)
It's cheap. You have to put it together and it's as flimsy as can be. It seems to work fine for what I need it to do. Nice switch on back turns off/on built-in amp. I give it 3 stars for making me put it together.

5 out of 5 stars excellent for the money   August 26, 2010
Zach (BULLHEAD CITY, AZ, US)
I am not an audio nerd but this turntable sounds great. I am in the process of finding a receiver to plug it into right now it is run just through my DVD player. However, even through the TV speakers it is more than I initially anticipated. Overall great buy.
