Product Description The Teac GF-450K7 is a one-piece tabletop stereo with a retro design taking you to the mid-latter 20th century. This might have been the type of stereo that played Elvis Presley, the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and other blossoming (soon-to-be) legends, when they were young, creative, and restless. This might have been the stereo set in your living room or bedroom as you were growing through the 1950's and 1960's. It's merely appearance. Don't judge this book by its cover. In addition to records, this stereo plays cassettes and CD discs. The CD portion can also record off cassettes and radio. The Teac GF-450K7 reflects the past yet lives on for the current user. Style and practicality merge into a tabletop stereo that transitions with the 20th and 21st centuries. It's a keepsake replica from a bygone era that remains valid today. Merge yesterday and today with the Teac GF-450K7 tabletop and digitize old recordings for affable tomorrows. TEAC GF450K7 - fantastic component to record old albums August 19, 2010 F. Holdren (Huntsville, AL) The TEAC GF450K7 is a fantastic component for recording old vinyl albums. It is easy to set up and operate. I would recommend this product to any one who wants to record their albums to CDs. It does not eliminate the "popping" of an album, but for those of us who like the sounds of yester-year, that is a good thing.
TEAC for 45 RPM transfer to CDs August 15, 2010 S. Schiffman (North Carolina) Started using the TEAC for transferring 45 RPM 1950's rock and roll records to CDs. So far it is very easy to use, and the sound quality when played on a stereo system sounds great. No complaints
Could use an audio input jack to use a different turntable I have, but I can live with just using the TEAC.
Arrived Damaged August 13, 2010 J. Powers Arrived Damaged, But it works fine. Unfortunately, the cabinet is beat up. Thanks UPS for beating it to death !
Would Be Great If It Worked July 24, 2010 Miriam Johnson I purchased this item a couple of months ago. At first it worked so, unfortunately, I discarded the packaging. The second time I tried to use it the cassette player didn't work at all. I tried to convert an LP (vinyl) to CD and the CD recorder didn't work although the turntable worked quite well. I discovered I had to finalize the special disks I had to buy but when I tried to do this the finalize button also didn't work. I tried to contact TEAC but got no response on the telephone and also no response to my email. This is my first bad experience on Amazon. Going forward I will be more careful, buying items such as this locally where I can return items which don't work. At this point I guess I am just out the $260+ I spent. Live and Learn!
record player, cassette, CD player July 20, 2010 basketmaker (Raleigh, NC) This recorder has been wonderful to copy old records to CDs. I had several old 78's recorded in an amusement park 50 years ago. They have the voices of my mother, sister, grandmother, grandfather and myself and I was able to make copies for my family. The copies are good, the recorder was easy to use, but the correct CD to obtain was confusing. The products are priceless!!
