Does Exactly what i want it to July 17, 2010 J.P. 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ove this turn table it just works and what else can you ask for. Just plug it into the wall and receiver and it will play. Auto arm so you can just let it play from the beginning there is also an arm elevator so that you can pick the song that you want to listen to. I could not ask for more it is so easy to operate. Buy this player so you can listen to some great music!
Wonderful to be playing vinyl again! July 15, 2010 Nancy (Long Island, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son pulled out a crate of about 80 vinyl records (classic rock from the 60's/70's/80's) from a crawl space in our house and declared we really needed to get a turntable. I found this one on Amazon and it was really easy to hook up to my older Sony receiver and Bose speakers that I had down in the basement. Let me tell you, it is wonderful to be listening to vinyl records again. Both my boys (ages 16 & 20) are also enjoying it. Great player, easy to use, great sound...don't hesitate if you've been yearning to get back to the old vinyl records...
It plays, and plays, and plays..... July 10, 2010 M. Hopkins (Beaver Falls, PA) I've owned this turntable for 13 years now (for any of you New Englanders, I know this because I bought it at Lechmere at their liquidation sale in 1997). I used it initially with a high-priced Denon rack system of the same vintage which crapped out about five years ago. It sat on the shelf for awhile until I got the equipment to record, and ostensibly, play, vinyl through the PC, and it's been back in service for the past couple of years.
I'm glad they're still making this model, and if it lasts like mine has, why wouldn't they? The features are exactly as advertised, and the only thing I wish it did is play the few 78s that I've accumulated from my Grandparents. Highly recommended, to do better you'd have to spend at least twice the money.
Great player for newbies June 8, 2010 M. Wilhelm (St Louis, MO) Easy to setup, and VERY easy to use (just press "play"). I'm sure there are better players out there for audiophiles (I don't consider myself one) but for an entry level turntable for someone just getting started into vinyl (like myself) I believe this player works just fine. I haven't had any issues with the needle skipping or jumping around but you definitely need to make sure your records are clean before playing because the needle will pick up the dust on the record and pop and crackle. It seems to play both 120g and 180g records with no issues.
Not Bad At All!! April 29, 2010 R. CROSBY (Northern, illinois) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I read some reviews here before I bought it. I was a little uncertain as to what would show up. Now that I have it I cannot see how anyone could have given this a negative review.
Just set mine up and am very impressed. It beats the sound of my old 1970's turntable considerably. It does not have the look or wood and metal materials of my old one--but it is still a great device. A simple hook up into my CD outputs on my modern Pioneer Recvr. (I removed my CD player to a differant hook-up port. I have many to chose from.) I played a couple LP's: A Pink Floyd one and a George Harrison one. Both sounded just golden. Never wish to use a CD player again! I have a substantialy large LP collection that I assembled back in the 1970's and plan on getting back on good terms with my LP's now. Hail Hail Rock 'N Roll.
Oh B-T-W what was that some reviewers said about stubby jack cords? These that I have are a normal length that every turntable I ever saw had.
